In the beginning . . .

When Danny Painter and Meggie Wiggins of lost2gether, collided three short years ago, they knew that they were seeing physics at work. lost2gether is a collision of two molten, swirling, and hurtling worlds. Meg is this beautiful, tragic, yearning, hopeful and broken eighteen year old with a soul as old as the heavens and a voice that proves it. Her music is so beautiful it is unknowable. Danny is older in his sorrow, roots and joy, leaving him a little unsteady when he dances on the tip of a pen. Consequently, he trips on things in his path - guitars, mimes, Neruda and Rimbaud - whatever’s lying around. His music is unimaginable. These two worlds are now one and the music from this new world will astound you. Physics says so.

And 2 became 5. . .

We were 2. And we were lost. lost2gether. But we were cold. So we set a little music on fire at three performances at the 2007 SXSW Music Festival and the 2006 Songwriters Series in Austin. But, when we still felt a little chilly, we decided to invite four friends to fan the flames. That fire burned the whole town down at our sold out album release party at the University of Houston. With that, we raised $1,500 to benefit The Peace of Mind Foundation, a Houston based Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation. Now, we’re looking to light you up, too. You better have a fire extinguisher on hand, because our original mix of rock, grunge, folk and country is white hot. Think Bob Dylan, Nirvana, Janis Joplin, Neil Young, and Alanis Morissette rolled into one big blaze just looking for the next place to heat up. The band lives in the Houston area and catches fire on a regular basis.

lost2gether is Danny Painter - vocals and guitar, Meggie Wiggins – vocals, Matt Samm – drums, and Zach Von Ruff - guitar, and David Rudd - bass.

Meggie and Danny also continue to play as a duo.
